Although the pandemic was waning, the Museum had not yet opened to visitors. We continued with our changing window display, visible through the Hannan House windows to visitors in the Park at Bothell Landing. Featured in July were artifacts of summers gone by.

Swimwear, like gym wear in the late 1800s-early 1920s was often made from scratchy heavy fabrics weighing down even the strongest swimmers! Summer-weight “sailor suits” eventually led to lighter weight naval-inspired rompers for men, women and children, as well as ladies’ swim dresses for comfortable cooler beach attire!
