The parade route turned north from Main Street on the Bothell-Everett Highway, past the new Safeway (built in 1962 on the site of the Avon Theater). Many classic cars driven by members of the Horseless Carriage Club participated in the parade. In the background to the left can be seen Ericksen Motor Company, a Chrysler-Plymouth dealership owned by third-generation Bothell merchant Bud Ericksen, and the Union 76 service station owned by Lowell Haynes.
